It's peak holiday season and Stallion Express, our third party shipping provider for Courier Economy (Uniuni, Fleet Optics) & USPS shipments is facing processing delays due to an increase in the volume of shipments. They're experiencing higher than usual amount of holiday shipments since Canada Post is not operating.
Normally, it takes a few hours for the tracking page to update after we drop off a shipment. In the last week it's taking 1-3 days on average before the tracking page shows an update.
Canada Post Strike
Canada Post workers are returning to work on Tuesday, December 17. They will start by processing the mail that are already in their system. If you have a Lettermail shipment that shipped just before the strike started, you can expect to receive it in the next few days.
Canada Post will start to accept new shipments starting Thursday, December 19, though they are warning of delays in processing and delivery.
We have been switching all Expedited Parcel and Xpresspost shipments to their Purolator and UPS counterparts since the strike and we'll continue to do so. Those services have been reliable with no significant delays or problems. We will only use Canada Post if it's the only shipping method available to an address. We hope to resume shipping via Canada Post regularly in the new year.
