Mounting Systems

Top-mount

Pure top-mount

By design, Top-mount involves metal-to-metal contact. With this option, your sound will naturally carry a slight metallic character (not hollow or echoing), a signature trait of this mounting style.

Typing feel: Firm with a slight vibration

Note: Use the metal washers

Isolated top-mount

With Paper washers: Similar type-feel to pure Top-mount, but it reduces the intensity of metal-to-metal contact noise

Typing feel: Firm with slight vibration

With PORON gaskets: Completely separates the plate from the case, minimizing metal-to-metal contact even further than paper.

Typing feel: Solfter and smoother

Top-mount screws and a set each of all three washers are included with each keyboard kit. Additional PORON gaskets can be purchased from the add-ons page. 

Gasket Mount with PCBSNap

With a Plate

You can use the default Aluminum Top-mount plate with PCBSnap, but PCBSnap specific plates (sold separately) have less chances of interfering with the case and they do sound slightly better.

Plate-less, PCB-mount

Plate-less mounts are possible with PCBsnap and the Solder PCBs. You can use a standard layout with the Venom HE PCB if you PCB-mount it.

A set of x8 60a FKM PCBSNAP are included with each keyboard kit. Additional PCBsnap in Silicone 60a and Silicone 70a can be purchased separately from the add-ons page.

PCBs

All PCBs are QMK / VIA compatible.

All PCBs (except Venom HE) support underglow RGB 

3 standard PCBs

You can choose of the 3 standard blackcore PCBs offered in this GB with a keyboard kit. Unlike most multi-layout PCBs out there, there are separate hot-swap PCBs for ANSI and ISO layouts because having north-facing switches can negatively affect the sound.

Venom HE PCB

Geon's Venom HE TKL F12 PCB can be purchased separately as an add-on for those who'd like to use Magnetic Hall Effect (HE) switches. It's a solder PCB that supports a limited number of layouts, more details in the spec section

Venom HE PCB comes with it's own daughterboard and JST connector.

Sur connector

The daughterbroard features a standard JST connector while the PCB features a slimmer, SUR connector to minimize the distance between the PCB and bottom case. You can use any unified design daughterboard as long as you use a JST to SUR cable.

Changes from the prototype

Most of the prototypes shown in photos and videos / streams feature Baion's screws for the case assembly. These screws go in from the inside at an angle, leading to a clean exterior look with no visible screws.

However, the production units that customers will receive will feature external straight screws like Krush65. While some may prefer clean look of Baion's screws, these straight screws are much easier and quicker to build with for the users.

Logo or No logo

You can chose to have the +84 logo above the right arrow key on the top case or go completely blank for a clean, minimalist look. There will be a logo on the back case on each keyboard that's not visible when the keyboard is upright.

The renders are given to provide an idea to what the final product will look like. The physical product may have some differences. Delivery Estimates

Title

Ocean Freight

Arrives to Canada via a ship. Takes 45-60 days in transit. This is the standard import method used in most keyboard / deskmat group buys. It's much cheaper than Air Express but takes longer to arrive.

All units ordered via Ocean Freight are scheduled to ship out of China around April-June, 2026 and should arrive to us 45 to 60 days later.

Air Express

Arrives to Canada via a cargo airplane, takes 7-18 days in transit. This import method is very expensive, as such some of the items brought over via Air Express have a markup added to cover the extra expenses

All units ordered via Air Express are scheduled to ship out of China around April-June, 2026 and should arrive to us 7 to 14 days later.

IMPORTANT

You cannot combine Ocean Freight and Air Express items in the same order. Each individual order has to contain either all Ocean Freight or all Air Express items. This is because they arrive at different times

The Air Express markups are much higher than usual because +84 is extremely heavy, almost twice as heavy as lot of Krush65 SKUs.

Please keep in mind the ETA is just our best guess according to the information currently available to us. Unexpected issues and delays can happen at every stage of the process.

Combinations

You cannot add any in-stock items to your order as we cannot guarantee its availability when the group buy is ready to ship.

If you're subscribed to our email list, you'll get an email before your group buy is ready to ship. In that email there will be instructions on how to add in-stock items to your group buy order and have them all ship together to save on shipping fees.

Modifications

You may modify your order until Jan 10, 2026

Please send an email to help@mech.land from the email address associated with your order and list the changes you'd like to see made.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order and get a refund until Jan 10, 2025

Please keep in mind we may keep 4% of the total from the refund as we do not get the transaction fees back from our payment processor. We may apply an additional penalty of up to 20% of the total if you choose to cancel after group buy is over.
